ACA Instructor Certification Reimbursement Program

The Iowa Whitewater Coalition is pleased to sponsor an ACA Instructor Certification Reimbursement Program. The goal of the program is to assist paddlers whose goals are to become ACA certified instructors and to increase the Midwest region paddling community resources.

Who is eligible for reimbursement?

Midwest paddlers who achieve ACA Swiftwater Instructor Certification or Instructor Certification (ACA Level 1 thru Level 4) in the disciplines of canoe, kayak, or SUP covering the following Midwest states: Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

A resident of any of the above states will be entitled to receive reimbursement of certification course costs for ACA instructor certification upon completion of necessary training and presentation of evidence of certification to the IWC Board of Directors.

Reimbursement Details

Reimbursement is limited to one person/class/year for the specific certification course cost only and they must have been annual dues paid IWC member for two continuous years minimum. Note: IWC members who contribute for a Lifetime Membership are immediately eligible. Click here for information on IWC membership.

The IWC Board of Directors shall establish the Certification Reimbursement Fund in November for use in the following calendar year. Awards will be made starting in January and distributed until the fund is depleted.
